Pricing & Value

How Much Does Carpet Cleaning Cost in Columbus? (2026 Guide)

Most cleaners won't publish their prices. Bryan does. Here's exactly what you'll pay — and why.

Carpet cleaning pricing in Columbus ranges wildly — from $25 "whole house specials" (that aren't) to $400+ quotes from franchise operations. Most cleaners won't post prices because they'd rather quote you in person and upsell on arrival. B Clean is different. Here's exactly what you'll pay.

B Clean's actual pricing (published, not estimated)

B Clean charges by the room — not by square footage, not by "zone," not after adding fees you didn't know about. These are real prices, not starting-from prices:

What drives the price up

Pet urine contamination

Pet urine soaks through carpet fiber into the pad and sometimes the subfloor. Surface cleaning alone — what most cleaners do — removes the stain but not the crystalized uric acid that causes the smell. Bryan uses Bio Conqueror 105, a live-enzyme formula that keeps breaking down uric acid after the cleaning is done. That costs more than standard pre-treatment, but it's the only approach that actually eliminates odor instead of masking it.

Heavy soil load

Carpet that hasn't been professionally cleaned in 3–5 years, or high-traffic areas with embedded soil, requires more passes, more product, and more time. The quote reflects that — no surprise charges, but Bryan will tell you upfront if a room needs extra work.

Specialty fiber

Wool, sisal, and some nylon blends require pH-neutral cleaners and lower-temperature extraction to avoid shrinkage. If you have natural fiber carpet, mention it when you call. Bryan is TMF HWE certified and knows exactly how to handle it — most carpet cleaners don't.

Stairs

Stairs are priced per step (typically $3–$5/step) because they take much longer per square foot than open floor. A standard 14-step staircase runs $42–$70 added to the job.

What drives the price down

Bundling rooms

Cleaning multiple rooms in one visit is the most efficient way to get the best value. Bryan is already at your house with the truck-mount running — each additional room costs less time and overhead than a separate appointment.

Recently maintained carpet

Carpet that's been vacuumed regularly and cleaned within the past 12–18 months takes less product and fewer passes. Bryan's not going to charge you for work the job doesn't require.

Why most Columbus carpet cleaners won't publish prices

The "$25/room" ads you see are loss leaders — the real goal is the in-home upsell. You let them in the door for $25, then they tell you the carpet is too dirty for the basic service, that you need a "premium clean" at $89/room, that you absolutely need protectant, deodorizer, and a pre-treatment fee. By the time they're done, you've paid more than you would have for an honest cleaner in the first place.

Bryan publishes his prices because he charges what he quotes. There's no in-home sales process. You get the price before he shows up, and that's the price.
